What are Pairables?
“Pairables” is a fun word play on Parables – the stories and word pictures that are found in scripture to teach us and encourage us with a deeper spiritual truth. I love word pictures that help remind me of the meaningful things Jesus taught, don’t you? Pairables are a collection of wearable art with a meaningful message. I design, create and pray over the PAIR of earrings, necklaces and bracelets in hopes that the recipient would have a visual reminder of God’s love and word. These not only are great as a gift for yourself but something you can gift to a friend who may be in need of a specific PARABLE reminder of how loved they are. Deuteronomy 6:7-9 says the following about how to remind ourselves of God’s word, “Impress them on your children, Talk about them when you sit at home and walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.”

I AM THE VINE
“I am the Sprouting Vine and you are my branches. As you live in union with Me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you – but when you live separated from me you are powerless.” John 15:5 These Pariables come in different shapes, sizes and colors but are imprinted with a beautiful vine design to remind you to stay attached to THE VINE! Just like a branch to a tree, the life source is in the Vine – the root system is the only way that LIFE can flow to all the branches, keeping them healthy, fruitful and a blessing to others!
ARMOR OF GOD
“Now my beloved ones, I have saved these most important truths for last: Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of his explosive power flowing in and through you. Put on God’s complete set of armor provided for us, so that you will be protected as you fight against the evil strategies of the accuser! Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage. Because of this, you must wear all the armor that God provides so you’re protected as you confront the slanderer, for you are destined for all things and will rise victorious. (See verses 14-17). These Pairables are mixed with multiple color clays to resemble a camouflaged effect. A great reminder of what we need to “put on” every day to stand strong as His warriors!
DRAGONFLY/BUTTERFLY
“Bold power and glorious majesty are wrapped around her as she laughs with joy over the latter days.” Proverbs 31:25 For me, the dragonfly and especially the butterfly represent feminine beauty and strength. The dragonfly draws its strength from the sunlight as she stretches out her lovely wings and we know the journey of the butterfly is one from struggle to transformation and glory! This collection is either imprinted with a dragonfly or butterfly or both and comes in a variety of colors and shapes with stunning accent charms.
TURQUOISE
“I will rebuild you with stones of turquoise…all your walls of precious stones. All your children will be taught by the Lord and great will be their peace.” Isaiah 54:11,13. Turquoise has always been my favorite color! It was so fun to discover this passage that describes the Lord rebuilding what was torn apart – and He describes this rebuilding with turquoise and other precious stones! This collection is made with either a turquoise granite clay to give it that “stone” look or in some cases a mix media of clays. They are stunning beauties and a great reminder that He always rebuilds us with greater beauty and strength!
SCALES
“Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here – has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.’ Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again.” Acts 9:18 This collection is some of my favorite and what I wear most of the time. They come in black and white and are imprinted with a roll techniques with what appears to be scales. These lovely, unique earrings are reminders of when God has opened your eyes to see Him and all His glorious plans for your life. They also serve to remind of God’s healing and restoration.
FIRM FOUNDATION
“You’re as real to me as bedrock beneath my feet, like a castle on a cliff, my forever firm fortress, my mountain of hiding, my pathway of escape, my tower of rescue where none can reach me. My secret strength and shield around me, you are salvation’s ray of brightness shining on the hillside, always the champion of my cause.” Psalm 18:2 This collection of Pairables is made from a clay that mimics granite which gives it that fun “stone” finish. A perfect reminder of our Rock and Firm-Fortress-Jesus who we can always count on to be a steady force in our lives.
HONEY BEE COLLECTION
“How sweet are your living promises to me; sweeter than honey is your revelation-light.” Psalm 119:103 Bees are everywhere right now! They are a hot commodity! I love these sweet bee earrings that are honeycomb-ish in shape adorned with an adorable bee charm or imprint. Great for you bee lovers and serve as a reminder of how sweetly delicious the Word of God is to us!
APPLES OF GOLD IN SETTINGS OF SILVER

HEM OF HIS GARMENT
“Just then a woman who had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding came up behind him. She touched the hem of his robe, for she thought, ‘If I can just touch His robe, I will be healed.'” Matthew 9:20-21 This collection is another favorite (who am I kidding- they are all my favorites!). The earrings are rolled over with a linen fabric to create the linen garment impression followed by a dash of sparkle glass beads “at the hem” of the earring. A perfect reminder of His healing, His gentleness and the rewarder of our faith!
LOAVES AND FISH
“… but all we have is five loaves of bread and two fish. ‘Let me have them’, Jesus replied… and everyone ate until they were satisfied, for the food was multiplied in front of their eyes! They picked up the leftovers an filled up twelve baskets full!” Matthew 14: 13-21. These darling Pairables are similar to the “Hem of His Garment” earrings in that they are imprinted with the linen look but in this case to resemble bread. It has then been kissed with a teak ink to resemble the color of baked bread. Each earring is adorned with a fish charm to represent the two fish offered to Jesus from the small boy’s lunch. What an amazing miracle we need to remember! If we just offer the Lord our “little” He will do exceedingly beyond anything we could ask or imagine to meet the needs of others! His resources and ability to multiply defy reason! Hang these beauties from your ears to remember what can happen when you offer Jesus what little you have!
QUEEN ESTHER/FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS
“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14 This collection also comes in various shapes and sizes with some variant in color. I use a mixture of purple and gold clay to represent the royal calling we all have received to live our lives to the fullest, bringing His salvation to others for “such a time as this”.
MILK & HONEY
“So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey.” Exodus 3:8 This collection is a mix of a caramel- honey color and white swirled together like a cream candy! Just as God led His people out of slavery and oppression to a land of plenty with plenty of deliciousness, so we have an inheritance to take the land He promises us that is filled with more goodness then we can imagine!
TREASURES IN CLAY
“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.” 2 Corinthians 4:7. These Pairables are a mix of colors, shapes and “one-offs” that are truly unique! Working with clay has given me a new insight in the processing of become something beautiful. There is a lot of pressing, rolling, imprinting, putting in the fire, sealing and assembling that goes into making a treasure evolve from clay. Our lives are a lot like that process but if we submit to our Creator, something beautiful and strong emerges!
BIRDS
“You can buy two sparrows for only a copper coin, yet not even one sparrow falls from its nest without the knowledge of your Father. Aren’t you worth much more to God than many sparrows? So don’t worry. For your Father cares deeply about even the smallest detail of your life.” Matthew 10:29-31 Stunning bird earrings some in different shapes, colors and bird designs to remind us how dearly loved and cared for we are! He sees! He notices and He cares!
HE’S GOT THE WHOLE WORLD IN HIS HANDS
“He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor. For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s; on them he has set the world.” 1 Samuel 2:8 These are among the first of my creations. How fitting for it to be a representation of the earth! What a beautiful scripture reminding us that everything is His! The earth and all the worlds are formed by His hand! These Pairables are a mix of blues, whites and greens to resemble the earth. A perfect reminder that “He’s got the whole world in His hands” including you and me!
BLOOMS IN THE DESERT
“The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.” Isaiah 35:1 These are stunning! A mix of deep reds, rust, gold sparkle clay swirled into a desert delight! This collection reminds us that even though we find ourselves in a dry desert place, God will bring refreshment and blossoming life!
PARABLE OF THE PEARL
These beauties are made from a turquoise and brown leather hand cut and adorned with a lovely tear-drop pearl accent. In Matthew 13:45-46 Jesus tells the following story, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.” These earrings can serve as a beautiful reminder to seek after God and His Kingdom. Nothing else can compare to what Jesus offers to us not only for eternity but for the here and now! “Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is is heaven.”
I AM THE RESURRECTION
These earrings are a lovely mix of yellows, oranges and reds to mimic not only the rising of the Sun on that first Easter morning but the Rising of the SON! Attached is a silver cross charm with a heart in the center – an awesome reminder of the gospel of Jesus, our Resurrected Savior who gave His life for us! Mark 16:6 “Don’t be afraid. I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here – He has risen victoriously!”
PARABLE OF THE WHEAT (NEW)
You can read about this Parable of Jesus in Matthew 13:24-30. The “wheat” Parables are made of wood with a wheat emblem cut into the wood and then stained with a cherry wood stain and accented with a beautiful stone ball charm or pearl charm. Bronze in Scripture represents strength. Even the feet of Jesus are described as bronze in Revelation 1:15. I loved creating these and blending the brilliant colors finished with fun bronze findings to complete the pieces. Wear these as part of your Warrior mindset that He is with you, your strength, Rescuer and Savior!
LIVING WATER
“If anyone drinks the living water I give them, they will never be thirsty again. For when you drink the water I give you, it becomes a gushing fountain of the Holy Spirit, flooding you with endless life!” John 4:14 This was the message of hope delivered to the woman at the well. Jesus offering eternal refreshment to the one who believes. Wear these fun Pairables to remind you of the gushing fountain within you. Made with a “wave/water” imprint then dipped in a blue ink with a silver well charm or clear “bubble” bead.
UNITED WE STAND
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He chose for His inheritance.” Psalm 33:12 I created this line to remind the “wearer” to remember that we are “one nation, under God, INDIVISABLE…” I intentionally allowed the colors to “bleed” together, red, white and blue to represent that we are one nation. We were founded with God as our foundation and we must find a way to be united and not let our differences divide us.
NO MORE TEARS
“You’ve kept track of all my wandering and weeping. You’ve stored my many tears in your bottle – not one will be lost for they are all recorded in your book of remembrance.” Psalm 56:8 “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes and eliminate death entirely. No one will mourn or weep any longer. The pain of wounds will not longer exist, for the old order has ceased.” Revelation 21:4 This beautiful collection of tear-shaped Pairables is a mix of sky blue, translucent and silver shimmer clay.
